Every Dollar
Counts

One Degree Forward’s charity model is designed to be cost effective and impactful. Our goal is for a minimum of 95% of all funds raised to go directly to helping Cambodians.

Through engagement with local donees we are able to eliminate intermediaries from the process. All internal work at One Degree Forward is done on a pro bono basis.

Cambodians Helping Themselves

We are building a charity that helps people help themselves.

Working directly with select villages in Cambodia, we are able to see the continual impact of our work.

We focus on manageable, scaled projects with evolving initiatives based on feedback. Our agility allows us to serve people where they need it most.

Focused Local Efforts

Samrong Village

Samrong is located in a rural area about an hour north of Siem Reap. Most families have basic employment income which is often supplemented with home-based agricultural efforts.

One Degree Forward completed the build of the Samrong School in 2020. Approximately 300 students attend the school which is focused on providing instruction for children ages 4-14 in English, hygiene, and agriculture.

We’ve drilled over 50 wells for villagers in need and educated them on the use of our supplied water filter systems.

Krov Village

Krov is a small village on the outskirts of Siem Reap in north-central Cambodia. It is a poor village that initially housed an HIV hospice for families and later became home to a spectrum of displaced people.

Currently home to 40 families, there is a high percentage of orphans adopted by the local villagers after the passing of their family members.  Approximately 70 children attend the school in Krov that was built by One Degree Forward in 2018.

Our water program provides villagers in need with deep clean water wells, water filter systems, and latrine facilities.
