New Bridge Organization
One Degree Forward works in conjunction with the New Bright Foundation to maximize and accelerate its vision for improving village life.
The New Bright Foundation was established through the sheer force of will of some very determined villagers with a desire to improve the lives of the next generation of children living in their community. Through their own hard-won education, they saw that their goals of clean water and improved schooling were within reach if they rolled up their sleeves and laid the groundwork themselves.
Their story is Cambodia’s story. They have a determined spirit and want to build a path for others to follow. No big organization; no offices; no Range Rovers; just mopeds and a desire to build better lives for their people.

Sa & PUal CHeA
Sa and Pual are the principles of the New Bridge Organization.
Sa grew up half a mile from the Samrong School.
She is fiercly committed to giving back to their community through poverty reduction and education.
Krov School
Through the New Bright Foundation we fund two and a half teachers and one part time cook.The focus is on basic English education as well as agriculture and hygiene.
The average teacher has some post-secondary training and makes about approximately $250/month.
Samrong School
Our funding in Samrong supports six teachers as well as one administrator and a part-time curriculum coordinator.
A small measure of the determination to improve themselves through education can be witnessed every day in 35 degree Celsius heat as the average student associated with this program rides 5 km per day to and from class.
